Nobel Medical operates MedicalCert.co.uk — a regulated digital platform where GMC-registered doctors issue signed medical certificates. If you've received a certificate from us, you can verify its authenticity instantly.
Every certificate includes built-in verification. Choose your method:
Each certificate contains a QR code linking directly to its verification record.
Enter the unique reference number at our verification portal.
Go to verification portal →MedicalCert certificates are submitted to organisations across the UK as supporting medical documentation. If you've received one, here's what you need to know.
Sick notes, fit-to-work and return-to-work certificates submitted by employees.
Mitigating circumstances letters and student absence certificates.
Medical support letters for housing applications and ESA assessments.
Travel cancellation certificates, fit-to-fly letters, and medical claims documentation.
Every certificate issued through MedicalCert includes the following verifiable elements.
Full name, date of birth, and address of the individual.
The doctor's assessment of the condition and clinical recommendation.
Signed by the named GMC-registered doctor who reviewed the case.
Independently verifiable on the official GMC register.
A code unique to this certificate, used for tracking and verification.
Scannable code linking to the certificate's verification record for instant confirmation.
There are no automated approvals. Every certificate is individually reviewed by a named, GMC-registered doctor.
The individual completes a secure online medical questionnaire and uploads supporting evidence such as GP letters, prescriptions, or clinical notes.
A GMC-registered doctor reviews the submission individually, assessing symptoms, functional impact, and whether documentation is clinically justified.
If clinically appropriate, a signed certificate is issued with a unique reference and QR code. If not, the request is declined and a full refund given. Clinical decisions cannot be influenced by commercial outcome.
Not NHS Med3 Fit Notes. MedicalCert certificates are private medical letters issued by GMC-registered doctors. They are not NHS Med3 "Fit Notes" (also known as "Statements of Fitness for Work"). Med3 Fit Notes are issued by NHS GPs and are the required document for UK government benefit claims such as Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) and Employment and Support Allowance (ESA).
Final acceptance is your decision. All documentation reflects the doctor's clinical opinion at the time of review. Whether to accept a private medical certificate is determined by your organisation's own policies. The certificate provides clinical evidence; you apply your own acceptance criteria.
Verification is free. You can verify any certificate at no cost by scanning the QR code, using the online portal, or emailing verify@medicalcert.co.uk with the reference number.
Every credential listed here can be independently verified via the links provided.
